  • Mountain Adventure Science Certificate is a New Opportunity for Outdoor Enthusiasts

    Outdoor enthusiasts with an interest in science now have a new opportunity at Coast Mountain College. Starting in September 2025, the Mountain Adventure Science Certificate offers learners the opportunity to advance their outdoor education or prepare for a career in this field.

  • New Information Technology Program at CMTN Expected to Fill Labour Market Demands in Northern BC

    CMTN is excited to launch a brand-new diploma program in Information Technology, commencing September 2025 at the Terrace Campus. The topics covered include server management (both Linux and Windows), virtualization and cloud computing, cybersecurity, network management, databases, programming, and website design.

  • Northern Health and Northern Post-Secondary Institutions Collaborate to Build Workforce

    Working to address staffing shortages in healthcare across the North, five agencies have collaborated to pilot a joint campaign to encourage enrolment in vital educational programs that include Nursing, Practical Nursing, Health Care Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technology, Health Sciences and Social Work.

  • Four Students Complete New Zealand Study Tour to Learn Indigenous Perspectives in Early Childhood Education

    In February 2025, four Indigenous students from CMTN’s Early Childhood Care and Education Program embarked on a field school to New Zealand. The tour allowed the students to make connections between Māori Indigenous knowledge and their own Indigenous knowledge. They also came to understand the significance of relationships to people, places, and things from the Māori perspective.
